The 2nd installment from Knighthouse’s prolific producer DJ Klem is out and this time we take a. Journey into the “beautiful mind” of rapper ‘Boogey’. The song speaks about Boogey’s experience coming up as a rapper and offers a ray of hope for anyone with a similar story. DJ Klem even gets his “T-Pain” on gracing the hook of the song.
Boogey (real name David Iye Odey) is a 25 year old biologist who studied in Morocco after he finished his secondary education at Federal Government College Lagos, popularly known as IJ (Ijanikin). He won the 6th edition of “underground” last year and more recently placed second on Terry tha rapman’s “zombie” contest and is featured on MI’s Illegal Music 2.
He describes his style as “hip hop doused with consciousness, poetry, intellect, humor, love and rebellion.” Up next for Boogey is the release of his mixtape, Art-ificial Intelligence. Listen up and enjoy!
